JACK MARTIN – opening each evening

[ Jack has opened for the festival the last 2 years. We on Pender are so proud of him and his accomplishments with the SFU Pipe Band this year! Champions of the world no less! He will open each evening with a tune!]

Jack Martin is an accomplished Grade One soloist, Grade Two band member, composer, and the 2025 Aggregate of the 92nd BCPA Annual Gathering. Runner up in Grade 3A at the 2023 World Pipe Band Championships with the Robert Malcolm Memorial Pipe Band (RMM). 

At the time of writing this, Jack and his SFU just won the World Pipe Band Championships! He has been living on Pender for the last 4 years, his goal in the community being to encourage the youth to learn and play traditional and contemporary Scottish music
