Now in its fifth year, The Crisp is a Southern Gulf Islands Community Resource Centre initiative — a vibrant, community-driven multi-arts festival that brings people together through music, poetry, transformational storytelling, thought-provoking panel discussions, scheduled art activities, apple-inspired fun, and hands-on gardening and environmental workshops.
Our mission is to celebrate creativity, strengthen community well-being, and support the SGICRC’s mandate of food and farming security and environmental sustainability.

The Crisp is a Pender Island festival with fun, enjoyable happenings aimed at fostering community
well-being through music, poetry, transformational storytelling supplementing scheduled art activities,
apple related activities and instructional workshops to compliment the SGICRC’s mandate on food and
farming security.
